Who We Are
Since its inception registered as a non-proft organization in March 2002, the Ballet Folklórico Aztlán has enjoyed meteoric success, performing well over hundreds of shows in Canada, Mexico, and Italy for thousands of people and racking up several prestigious awards, including an Othli Prix (The most prestigious recognition that the Mexican government grants), from the Mexican Federal Government, and several awards from the Cities of Ottawa, Montreal and Gatineau, the Canadian Federal Government and the city of Rome in Italy, among others.
We collaborated and performed with a diverse range of local and international artists including the International French- Canadian “Le Vent du Nord, L’orchestra Symphonic de Gatineau, International Tlen Hucani, La Compañia de Danza Soy Mexico, La voz de la Sonora Santanera, the international acapella Voz en Punto, Banda Los Kabonys, among others.
